Welcome! Over the past 8 years, I have developed a passion for everything beauty, fitness, and food. When contemplating to start a blog, I wasn't sure of my niche, and in the end I decided that I didn't want to choose just one. Why not write about all three? This will be your go-to for three of my favorite things.
Since getting into makeup, I have always believed that it serves as a confidence boost. I enjoy experimenting with new products and new looks, but I also think that a simple, clean look can boost any woman's confidence. When I was in highschool, I started watching Youtube videos and learned how to apply makeup (...I had no clue what I was doing at the time, and I'm still an amateur). To this day, I watch a variety of women, with my favorites being Chloe Morello, Sam and Nic Chapman, Sami (BeautyCrush), Heidi Hamoud, and Ruby Golani. I absolutely love how the Youtube beauty community is able to bring women and men together from all over the world and all different age groups. I find inspiration from different women from the US, UK, Australia, and the Middle East.
I grew up very athletic, and while in college I began to find myself in the gym more and more. I became bored easily, and I would lose motivation every few months. I would get sick of the same gym, and I soon found myself skipping the gym for Taco Tuesdays and beer. I eventually became very inspired by Youtube videos and other people with similar interests, and I knew that I was going to have to be my own motivation. I joined a boxing gym where I regularly took kickboxing and boxing classes. I met tons of great people who enjoyed fitness as much as I did, and since then have incorporated a variety of different workouts into my everyday routine. At the moment, I don't have the desire to compete, but I am always inspired and motivated by the dedication of other athletes!
As for food, anyone that knows me will tell you that it is one of my main topics of conversation. I am the least picky eater, and I'll try anything once...anything. I have an obsession with pizza, cheeseburgers, and anything chocolate. I have no shame camping out at the dessert table and helping myself to thirds.
I believe in a balanced lifestyle. Life is too short to restrict ourselves of the things we enjoy, but it's also too short to be lived unhealthy and unhappy. I know when I need to limit my desserts, but I also know when eating one (or five) won't hurt. I don't believe in fad diets, and if you're into a restrictive lifestyle, I'm not the girl for you. I might dable in a few gluten-free, flourless, and sugar-free recipes, but I keep those at a minimum. Balance and consistency are always key.
I've finally decided to start blogging after countless requests to share my fitness and makeup tips. Feel free to reach out to me with any requests, ideas, or just for fun!
