Custom Enhancer Drops

Best Illuminators for Summer Sephora
FINALLY I can talk about these beauties!  I was trying so hard to keep it a secret after being behind the scenes at the Cover FX photo shoot for Custom Enhancer Drops.  Seeing the models with their glow, smothering my arm with highlight swatches, and dreaming about the looks I'd create with these for summer, I had to keep the product under wraps until now!

If you're familiar with Cover FX, you've heard of their Custom Cover Drops which allow you to customize your own foundation texture and coverage.  They're all about customization, and Custom Enhancer Drops fit right in.  These six shades range from fair illuminators to deep, rich bronze tones.  Four shades are the most beautiful glowy highlight shades, and two are matte bronzer shades.  Custom Enhancer Drops are $42 each -- You can buy on the Cover FX website or Sephora.

There's a shade here for everyone, and you can use them in a million different ways.  A few of my favorite ways to use the Custom Enhancer Drops:

  • Wear alone on the cheekbones for a dramatic, beautiful highlight
  • Mix in with foundation to create a skin-like glowing finish
  • On the eyes as a wet, glossy shadow (I used Candlelight on the eyes today and am obsessed)
  • Mix in with body lotion for an all-over body glow: hit the collar bones, legs, and shoulders and you will look like an angel

These can be worn lightly for a more natural glow, or wear a few more drops to look like you're glowing from another galaxy.  I'm bringing Sunlight, Sunset, and Candlelight with me to Mexico next week for sure!  Will be adding the Sunset bronzer shade into my tinted moisturizer and body lotion for sure.

    1. Sunlight has a little more gold to it- moonlight is slightly more neutral/champagne toned. Hope that helps!

  4. I swatched Candlelight in Sephora and it's definitely possible to over-blend them on your cheeks. They looked so metallic swatched on my hand but blended to almost nothingness on my cheeks.

    1. Totally know what you mean -- I think the key to keeping them intense, vibrant, and metallic on your cheeks is to not blend them in too much. Just use a tiny dot and apply with your fingers or a brush, blend in slightly, and leave it! They'll blend in very nicely if you do want them to be more subtle, but for the metallic finish that makes them so unique, leave it slightly unblended!

  5. I'm trying to decide between sunlight and moonlight. Is the only difference that sunlight is more gold/yellow toned whereas moonlight has a more pink/silver undertone? I am light medium skin tones but like a super blinding/light highlight so am worried sunlight will not be light enough... If that makes sense?

    1. They're extremely similar in depth..I wouldn't say one is darker than the other. Sunlight is more gold and Moonlight is more beige/champagne. If you like a blinding highlight, you really can't go wrong with either! I think Sunlight has been a slightly more popular shade and gives the most gorgeous light golden, bright highlight. If you can, go into Sephora and swatch both and see which you like best! If not, I'd say go for Sunlight!
