The only thing better than a toasted bagel topped with cream cheese and lox on a late Sunday morning? Eating that bagel while reading on-point inspirational quotes...about coffee and bagels.
I can be a creature of habit when it comes to our weekend Sunday brunches, but I'm trying my best to branch out and explore different areas of Houston, especially The Heights. The Heights is loaded with different brunch spots, so when I was craving a bagel and didn't feel like driving out to Hilcroft for my usual Bagel Shop meal, Toasted won my choice!
After scanning the array of fresh, doughy bagels, I went for Cinnamon Raisin. I couldn't resist the Lox bagel, which came with a side of crispy bagel chips and a small cup of salmon cream cheese to drip. I could have drank the side of cream cheese it was that good. And I couldn't forget about a cup of coffee -- Toasted serves super tasty coffees, but I went with a regular hot cup.
I always need something sweet after savory, and since this was my first time at Toast, I figured I had to try a bagel with Nutella. I went for another Cinnamon Raisin toasted and smothered in Nutella -- I'm all heart-eyes just thinking about it again. Yes, I ate two bagels and no, I didn't share.
Toasted was boyfriend approved as well. Trey went with a honey whole wheat lox bagel plus a steak, egg, and cheese bagel on their sun dried tomato.
From a couple that eats two bagels a person, we approve! Let me know your favorite bagel place in Houston -- I don't discriminate.
