Girls' Night In Facials
What are the holidays without some serious girl time, at-home pampering, hot chocolate, and just hours on the couch with your girlfriends?
For me, this is probably one of my absolute favorite parts of the holiday season. I love planning time to just hangout and lounge around the house with my girlfriends in cozy sweats, our robes, Christmas music (and also some rap for a dance party if you're with us), and some coffee and hot chocolate...marshmallows, of course.
My best friend Karinn and I have been in serious need of some pampering. We created and completed our "Find Your Sweat" fitness challenge in the month of November, have been in non-stop meetings since, and just wanted a lazy Sunday to chill at home!
We visited the Source Vital showroom in November and were in heaven! This place just smells like the most luxurious, soothing place, and we got sent home with some skincare.

OK, so the fun stuff -- At home facials. My skin is normal to dry, and I am constantly struggling with a breakout (or two, or three or four). I like to make time for a mask to deep clean my skin, decongest pores, and even out my skin tone.
I had a brunch earlier this day, so I happily removed my makeup and we jumped into the pamper session.
Here's a rundown of our routine:
K I know 5 steps might sound like a lot, but trust me, they all do their job and are part of the whole experience!
We started out by washing our face with the Algae Deep Cleanse. I love algae in my skincare. It's remineralizing and revitalizes the skin like nothing else. You'll feel it immediately when you apply it -- It will tingle slightly and you'll feel it cleaning all the gunk out of your pores!
The cleanser is an active seaweed formula and is jam-packed with essential oils that are good for the skin. Literally feels like a cup of coffee waking up your face!
We then exfoliated with the Silt Scrub. I mentioned earlier that I'm always struggling from clogged pores, so a good scrub is absolutely necessary for me.
This one is made from Colloidal Freshwater Silt, Bentonite Clay and Jojoba Seed Powder. I love the sensation this scrub gives, and it makes my skin smooth and ready to apply any serum or mask!
OK, the most fun part! After we cleansed and exfoliated, we applied our Algae Powder -- Again, algae provides so many benefits to the skin, so we wanted to reap the benefits even further with a mask. The Laminaria Algae Powder isn't necessarily a "mask". There are so many functions of the powder and ways you can use it!
This is probably my favorite thing about Source Vital -- You can customize your entire skincare routine, and you're almost like an at-home scientist. And the best part, it barely requires any work!
We mixed 1/4 cup of the algae powder with 1/4 cup of water, whisked away, and applied a few drops of the Toning Infusion and Restorative Infusion to give the mask a lil' custom boost.
We let the mask dry, jammed some Christmas music, and then rinsed with a damp sponge to get it all off.
I can't even explain how fresh our skin felt at this point. We were amazed at how smooth, clean, and revitalized we looked. I mean, we were still tired, but this routine did WONDERS!
To finish it off, we applied our custom facial cocktail. Mine is made for acne-prone, normal skin. I applied about 9 drops to my face and neck, let it dry, and then applied some of the Night Repair Cream.
And voila, we were brand new!
We even had two other friends join in on the pamper session and they were shocked at how great their skin felt.
Y'all know I am constantly trying new skin products, reviewing what works and what doesn't, and am just a product junkie. Honestly, I've NEVER felt such instant results from a routine like I did from this one.
